“It is well with the man who deals generously and lends; who conducts his affairs with justice.”
The Beatitudes in Scripture
The beatitudes are found in Matthew 5:3-12 and paralleled in Luke 6:20–23:
Blessed are the poor in spirit,
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Blessed are those who mourn,
for they will be comforted.
Blessed are the meek,
for they will inherit the earth.
Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness,
for they will be filled.
Blessed are the merciful,
for they will be shown mercy.
Blessed are the pure in heart,
for they will see God.
Blessed are the peacemakers,
for they will be called sons of God.
Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness,
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you. (NIV)

Is It Immoral for Charities to Push ‘Amazon Smile’? – The Chronicle of Philanthropy
The other day a nonprofit organization I admire sent out a Facebook posting that encouraged its supporters to shop at Amazon and to designate the organization as the charitable beneficiary of “Amazon Smile.”Through Amazon Smile, the charity explained, Amazon would give the organization one half of 1 percent of the total purchase price of whatever I buy.

Ethics and Accountability for Nonprofits – National Council of Nonprofits
America’s charitable nonprofits rely on the public trust to do their work. That is why it is so important that charitable nonprofits continuously earn the public’s trust through their commitment to ethical principles, transparency, and accountability. If only one donor loses confidence in a charitable nonprofit because the nonprofit behaves unethically, that’s one too many.

Should Your Nonprofit Do an Event? – Bloomerang
Doing events as stand-alones is rarely worth the effort. Events are worthwhile when you design them to accomplish multiple objectives. Maybe you don’t raise a lot of money at the event per se, but the donor cultivation you accomplish before, during and after serves to deepen the commitment of existing donors and leads them to make more sizable annual gifts in the future
Grant Templates and Documents (You will need to have one drive in order to view documents
What will make this stronger is to follow the headings outlined in the Assessing Community Needs site. This will guide you to the key areas you will be addressing. I have copied these key headings below for your reference: YOU DO NOT NEED TO USE THEM ALL.
1. Describe the makeup and history of the community to provide a context within which to collect data on its current concerns.
2. Describe what matters to people in the community
3. Describe what matters to key stakeholders
4. Describe the evidence indicating whether the problem/goal should be a priority issue,
5. Describe the barriers and resources for addressing the identified issue(s)
6. Select and state the priority issue (or issues) to be addressed by the group/population
You will need a Assessing Community Needs, Cover Letter, Budget, Budget Narrative, and Brief, which will be combined on the Request for Proposal.

RFP Template
Know this, my beloved brothers: let every person be quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger
Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths
Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what partnership has righteousness with lawlessness? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?
Do not be deceived: “Bad company ruins good morals.”
So as to walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to him: bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God;
“Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, whose trust is the Lord. He is like a tree planted by water, that sends out its roots by the stream, and does not fear when heat comes, for its leaves remain green, and is not anxious in the year of drought, for it does not cease to bear fruit.”
11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their toil. For if they fall, one will lift up his fellow. But woe to him who is alone when he falls and has not another to lift him up! Again, if two lie together, they keep warm, but how can one keep warm alone? And though a man might prevail against one who is alone, two will withstand him—a threefold cord is not quickly broken.
Here is the RFP that you can use below. Please understand that each grant that you apply to will have its own guidelines. Remember to tailor your RFP to the guidelines of the grant that you are applying to.
If you have any questions please send me and email and I will respond right away.
