Are Your Habits Making You Sick?
Zephaniah 1:17 “I will bring such distress on mankind that they will walk like the blind, because they have sinned against the LORD. Their blood will be poured out like dust and their flesh like dung”
Habits will differentiate depending on the household. It is important to change every belief that prevents you from walking in God’s will.

When was the last time you felt God poking at your heart? Some of you might believe in God and some of you may not. You might just be listening to this podcast because it motivates you to do better.
When the word of the Lord is being spoken, it will definitely motivate you to do better. We know that when God purifies us he allows us to dissipate the things in our lives that are keeping a person from being holy.
Job 23:10 says, “But he knows the way that I take; when he has tested me, I will come forth as gold”
With so many things going on around the world that has caused a lack of focus, unfruitfulness, and apathy. The pandemic caused many people to endure abusive relationships with their spouses, friends, and family. In addition, to the loss of income so many people were living with others that had lost their homes due to unemployment and lost their small businesses.
What is overpowering you?
Around 25 to 30 percent of high achievers may suffer from imposter syndrome. And around 70 percent of adults may experience impostorism at least once in their lifetime, research suggests.
Imposter Syndrome critique and question their overall aptitude, may struggle with other mental health conditions, such as anxiety or depression
Perfectionism – pressure to perform at their absolute best 100 percent of the time, and when they don’t, they feel incompetent and anxious. Life is an endless report card. Perfectionism requires another persons approval is dependent on your performance
Neuroticism – low emotional stability or negative emotionality, prone to anxiety, mood disorders, and additional unfavorable social and emotional outcomes
Self-Efficacy – perpetuate success
Do you believe that success automatically produces success?
How do you define success?
19 I will give them an undivided heart and put a new spirit in them; I will remove from them their heart of stone and give them a heart of flesh. 20 Then they will follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws. They will be my people, and I will be their God.
The Greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven
18 At that time the disciples came to Jesus and asked, “Who, then, is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?”
2 He called a little child to him, and placed the child among them. 3 And he said: “Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. 4 Therefore, whoever takes the lowly position of this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. 5 And whoever welcomes one such child in my name welcomes me.
Causing to Stumble
6 “If anyone causes one of these little ones—those who believe in me—to stumble, it would be better for them to have a large millstone hung around their neck and to be drowned in the depths of the sea. 7 Woe to the world because of the things that cause people to stumble! Such things must come, but woe to the person through whom they come! 8 If your hand or your foot causes you to stumble, cut it off and throw it away. It is better for you to enter life maimed or crippled than to have two hands or two feet and be thrown into eternal fire. 9 And if your eye causes you to stumble, gouge it out and throw it away. It is better for you to enter life with one eye than to have two eyes and be thrown into the fire of hell.
The Parable of the Wandering Sheep
10 “See that you do not despise one of these little ones. For I tell you that their angels in heaven always see the face of my Father in heaven. [11] [a]
12 “What do you think? If a man owns a hundred sheep, and one of them wanders away, will he not leave the ninety-nine on the hills and go to look for the one that wandered off? 13 And if he finds it, truly I tell you, he is happier about that one sheep than about the ninety-nine that did not wander off. 14 In the same way your Father in heaven is not willing that any of these little ones should perish.
Dealing With Sin in the Church
15 “If your brother or sister[b] sins,[c] go and point out their fault, just between the two of you. If they listen to you, you have won them over. 16 But if they will not listen, take one or two others along, so that ‘every matter may be established by the testimony of two or three witnesses.’[d] 17 If they still refuse to listen, tell it to the church; and if they refuse to listen even to the church, treat them as you would a pagan or a tax collector.
18 “Truly I tell you, whatever you bind on earth will be[e] bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be[f] loosed in heaven.
19 “Again, truly I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything they ask for, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven. 20 For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.”
The Parable of the Unmerciful Servant
21 Then Peter came to Jesus and asked, “Lord, how many times shall I forgive my brother or sister who sins against me? Up to seven times?”
22 Jesus answered, “I tell you, not seven times, but seventy-seven times.[g]
23 “Therefore, the kingdom of heaven is like a king who wanted to settle accounts with his servants. 24 As he began the settlement, a man who owed him ten thousand bags of gold[h] was brought to him. 25 Since he was not able to pay, the master ordered that he and his wife and his children and all that he had be sold to repay the debt.
26 “At this the servant fell on his knees before him. ‘Be patient with me,’ he begged, ‘and I will pay back everything.’ 27 The servant’s master took pity on him, canceled the debt and let him go.
28 “But when that servant went out, he found one of his fellow servants who owed him a hundred silver coins.[i] He grabbed him and began to choke him. ‘Pay back what you owe me!’ he demanded.
29 “His fellow servant fell to his knees and begged him, ‘Be patient with me, and I will pay it back.’
30 “But he refused. Instead, he went off and had the man thrown into prison until he could pay the debt. 31 When the other servants saw what had happened, they were outraged and went and told their master everything that had happened.
32 “Then the master called the servant in. ‘You wicked servant,’ he said, ‘I canceled all that debt of yours because you begged me to. 33 Shouldn’t you have had mercy on your fellow servant just as I had on you?’ 34 In anger his master handed him over to the jailers to be tortured, until he should pay back all he owed.
35 “This is how my heavenly Father will treat each of you unless you forgive your brother or sister from your heart.”
Insurrectionist believe in the right to bear arms but does that mean you storm into the white house?
According to International Labour Organization “Global unemployment is expected to stand at 205 million people in 2022, greatly surpassing the level of 187 million in 2019. This corresponds to an unemployment rate of 5.7 percent”.
In addition, to the United Nations snowballing an article for Economic development that says, “Working poverty is back to 2015 levels; that means that when the 2030 Sustainable Development Agenda was set, we’re back to the starting line.”
Thus far, some individuals may raise the question, why are all these things happening like never before?
Perhaps this is a way that God is purifying His body, the Church. There are numerous ways that God will purfiy us,
“Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.”—James 4:8
Whats prevents a person from drawing nigh to God?
Arrogance as in superiority an exaggerated sense of one’s importance that shows itself in the making of excessive or unjustified claims
Pride a reasonable or justifiable sense of one’s worth or importance
Overconfident excessively or unjustifiably confident: having too much confidence (as in one’s abilities or judgment)
Among others are:
Racism a belief that race is a fundamental determinant of human traits and capacities and that racial differences produce an inherent superiority of a particular race
How do we begin undoing the processes of internalized hatred and internalized racism?
Colorism prejudice or discrimination especially within a racial or ethnic group favoring people with lighter skin over those with darker skin , similar to colonialism
Sexist is prejudice or discrimination based on sex especially : discrimination against women, behavior, conditions, or attitudes that foster stereotypes of social roles based on sex
But I want you to realize that the head of every man is Christ, and the head of the woman is man, and the head of Christ is God
Ageism This is ageism: the stereotypes (how we think), prejudice (how we feel) and discrimination (how we act) towards others or ourselves based on age.
What is intersectionality?
Intersectionality The complex, cumulative way in which the effects of multiple forms of discrimination (such as racism, sexism, and classism) combine, overlap, or intersect especially in the experiences of marginalized individuals or groups
[Kimberlé] Crenshaw introduced the theory of intersectionality, the idea that when it comes to thinking about how inequalities persist, categories like gender, race, and class are best understood as overlapping and mutually constitutive rather than isolated and distinct.
Discussions about members of the larger group of older persons in their dual roles as members of other vulnerable groups defined by dimensions such as gender, disability, race and ethnicity, socioeconomic status, immigrant and refugee status, sexual orientation and gender identity and indigenous status. While hopefully helpful, intersectionality as applied does not fully capture the complexity of each individual’s personal experience, since his or her identity is a mix of the impacts of more than just two dimensions (e.g., while the chapter discusses “older women”, the experience of older Black woman is different than that of an older white woman) and he or she must live in a world in which “systems and experiences of discrimination change over time” along with changes in the social and political context.
57% of Black Americans believed they were discriminated against with respect to equal pay or promotion versus 13% of white Americans and women were far more likely than men to report gender discrimination with respect to equal pay or promotion (41% women versus 18% men)
Do you see the patterns of one’s own importance?
Don’t mistaken and don’t misinterpret the goals of God for your life. Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you.
When is God important enough to receive all the credit in your life?
The difference between God cleansing you and you staying the same is if you give into arrogance, pride and/or having overconfidence.

The difference between purification and sanctification is that purify is to cleanse (something), or rid (it) of impurities while sanctify is to make holy; to consecrate set aside for sacred or ceremonial use. God wants to spiritually refine us. To be spiritually refined we need to think about others and not always think about ourselves, and our petty needs and desires, the freer we become of always feeling the need to only be concerned about one’s own needs are when a person can become spiritually refined. Finally, meditation and devotion have a natural refining effect on us. God wants us to be purified, sanctified, and spiritually refined.
Mark 4:19 “And the cares of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts of other things entering in, choke the word, and it becometh unfruitful.”
God does not see us as full of impurity, but full of potential to be purified, sanctified, and spiritually refined. Just because God sees us with potential does not mean that he is going to snap his fingers and get rid of all the problems in our lives. We must have a relationship with God. Establishing and maintaining a relationship with God will remove the impurities in our lives. This will allow us to be purified by removing the uncleanness that has caused impurity.

John 17:13-26 13 “I am coming to you now, but I say these things while I am still in the world, so that they may have the full measure of my joy within them. 14 I have given them your word and the world has hated them, for they are not of the world any more than I am of the world. 15 My prayer is not that you take them out of the world but that you protect them from the evil one. 16 They are not of the world, even as I am not of it. 17 Sanctify them by[d] the truth; your word is truth. 18 As you sent me into the world, I have sent them into the world. 19 For them I sanctify myself, that they too may be truly sanctified. 20 “My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, 21 that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me. 22 I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one— 23 I in them and you in me—so that they may be brought to complete unity. Then the world will know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me. 24 “Father, I want those you have given me to be with me where I am, and to see my glory, the glory you have given me because you loved me before the creation of the world. 25 “Righteous Father, though the world does not know you, I know you, and they know that you have sent me. 26 I have made you[e] known to them, and will continue to make you known in order that the love you have for me may be in them and that I myself may be in them.”

Jesus was 33 when he died.
Jesus started his earthly mission at the age of 33.
David was 30 when he started his earthly mission.
“Intertestamental period” is also known as the “silent period” 400 years from the Old Testament to the New Testament when God did not speak.
Jesus means “the anointed one”
Atonement scriptures can be found in
Romans 3:9-14
Romans 6:23
2 Corinthians 5:21
Isaiah 53:5
1 Peter 2:24
1 Peter 3:18
Omnipotence- God is all powerful and has all supreme power. God is not subject to physical limitation. God is infinite and has power over the wind, water, and everything
Omniscience- God is all-knowing and is aware of the past, present, and future. God has total knowledge and he takes nothing by surprise.
Omnipresence- God is all present and he is capable of being everywhere all the time. God is distant from the universe and is everywhere at once. God inhabits the entirety of the universe at once.
The “Trinity” means One God exist in 3 places. The Trinity does not suggest that there are 3 Gods.
There are 3 persons which co-exist and are co-external persons which are: God the Father, the Son Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit.
Scriptures reflecting on the Holy Trinity are:
Matthew 3:16-17
Matthew 28:19
2 Corinthians 13:14
Scripture reflecting on the holy Trinity using the word “us”:
Genesis 11:7
Isaiah 6:8
Isaiah 48:16
Isaiah 61:1
(Although the Trinity is not mentioned in the Bible people will attempt to challenge it)
Exodus 37:6-9 discusses
Cherubim- which is associated with God and his moral perfection. Powerful angelic beings created to glorify God.
Reflections Discussed: Ezekiel Kelly the guy that recently confessed to being on “demon time” and killed people.
Must Read the Entire chapter of Ezekiel 9, specifically, Ezekiel 9:5-7. Ezekiel Kelly carried out deeds to glorify evil.
In contrast, Ezekiel chapter 9 reflects on God sending his angel to execute judgement and destroy a city that was disobedient to God with killing those that were without the mark. Those without the mark caused people to grieve over the things that were detestable. So there was slaughter, killing, and judgement on those without the mark.
If you were to choose between having a heart for God or having the mind of knowledge from God- you should choose to have a heart for God but you should have them BOTH.
Romans 1:18-20 there is no excuse for not believing in God.
The Bible is where we find information about God and his will.
